Coastal Maine Hike and Bike is now Coastal Maine Outdoors! We’ve been through a few name changes over our nearly two decades of existence. But one thing has never changed: our dedication to showing everyone who visits and lives on this amazing stretch of the Maine coast how much fun there is to be had outdoors around here. So, we figured, for this season, why not just go with Coastal Maine Outdoors and leave it at that?

Whether you’re cycling our scenic roads, paddling our beautiful coastal waters, or exploring our peaceful forests, we’ll be right there with you as your guides to outdoor adventure — just like we have been since 2009.

We are so excited to announce that we are once again offering guided kayak tours in the Kennebunk and Kennbunkport, Maine, areas. Throughout the end of August and September (with future dates to be announced) our Registered Maine Kayak Guides will be leading scenic kayak tours for all skill levels up the beautiful Kennebunk and Mousam rivers. These gentle paddling experiences are perfect for families, couples, solo travelers, seniors, and anyone else interested in seeing another, wilder side of our region. The tours follow the tide through tidal marshes, woods, and open grasslands, where wildlife sightings are common. Each tour lasts 2-3 hours. Beginner friendly! Single or tandem kayak included, along with expert guidance and instruction, paddles, personal flotation devices (PFDs), and a dry box for your phone and wallet.
