Job Title: Part-Time Freight Operations Assistant
Location: Kenai, Alaska
Company: Kenai Freight Forwarders LLC
Hours: 12–20 hours/week to start, with some flexibility and opportunity for additional hours
Compensation: $18-$25/hr DOE

About the Role
Kenai Freight Forwarders is looking for a dependable, efficient, and self-motivated team member to support warehouse and freight operations.
This is a great fit for someone who takes initiative, and gets things done without needing constant direction.
We value efficiency, accuracy, and strong communication over simply putting in hours.

What You’ll Do
• Receive and organize incoming freight
• Operate a forklift
• Stage shipments for customer pickup and local delivery
• Label and track shipments accuratelyUpdate shipment statuses and communicate with customers
• Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness
• Assist with loading and unloading freight
• Complete shipment documentation and proof-of-delivery records
• Drive delivery van and deliver shipments
What Success Looks Like
• Work moves forward without needing reminders
• Tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
• Warehouse stays organized and customer communication stays current
• Downtime is used productively
• Problems are identified and solved proactively
Requirements
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Comfortable with technology and learning new systems
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work independently and manage time well
• Positive attitude and willingness to jump in where needed
