Tomorrow, September 10th, we will be gathering at 5:30 for big Al’s burritos followed by our meeting at 6:00 pm.

This month we have a guest speaker representing a startup kitplane company. He has quite the aviation resume, promises to be an interesting talk!

Chris "Duff" Guarente is a test pilot who has flown the First Flights of both the Scaled Model 400 and Stratolaunch aircraft. He was a previous Air Force Test pilot and Director of Operations flying both the F-22 and F-16 where he was the first pilot to launch a guided AIM-9X off of the F-22. He has worked as the lead test pilot on the development of both the XB-1 Supersonic demonstrator at Boom Supersonic and the new Seaglider aircraft at Regent where he executed the first engine runs and sea trials. He continues to be a test pilot for several companies as a contractor and has founded a new kitplane company Intrepid Aircraft in the Denver area. He will be presenting on being a test pilot and past experiences as well as discuss some of his current projects.
