In this video we take a look at the roller coasters at Lost Islands theme park and give some overall thoughts and reviews of the collection.

The park features four in the current lineup with an exciting new RMC “Wild Moose” being announced for next year.

Join us for a look into Lokolo the park's wacky worm style kids coaster. Nopuko Air Coaster is an infamously rough SLC which looks great in this park, but riding it is a whole different story.

Then there is the best 1-2 punch in the state of Iowa with Matugani, the Intamin hydraulic launch coaster which packs a punch and offers some intense moments and inversions. Followed by our favorite ride in the park - Fire Runner and RMC single rail that really puts this park on the map as a must visit for coaster enthusiasts.

Plus, stick around until the end as we get a first look at the signage and location for the new for 2027 coaster - Forbidden Liar which will be an absolutely perfect fit for this young, growing park.

We head to the newly opened KC Bier CO Lenexa featuring a Bavarian-style Bierhalle and Biergarten with German-style bier brewed on site. Plus we sample some tasty options from the fresh, authentic German style menu.

KC Bier Co has become one of the favorite craft breweries in the area and offers a wide selection of German style beers that are widely found on tap at local bars and restaurants around KC. Now with the opening of their second location in Lenexa, KS the brand just continues to grow in popularity.

Join us as we get our first experience at this awesome new location featuring a self guided tour, an indoor bierhalle, and maybe the best patio in the area.

In the heart of The Hill neighborhood in St. Louis Missouri is the historic Ragazzi’s Italian restaurant. They have been serving up traditions along with fettuccine and fishbowls since 1957. That makes this the oldest continually operating restaurant in this famous neighborhhood.

This tradition for us goes back years, as this was the first place Derek went to when he was a boy traveling for soccer over 30 years ago, and now it continues as we head back to our favorite spot all these years later when Anabelle travels for soccer.

Serving up a large menu of Italian-American favorites with hearty portions, and all the flavor you would expect from a place so rich with tradition. We sample some of our favorites in this return and Lindsay finds gluten-free pasta bliss as she has said time and time again that this is her favorite place to go for Italian since she has gone gluten free.

We return to an unlikely location in Waterloo, Iowa where Lost Island Theme Park stars as one of the best regional theme parks in the nation.

Having visited this park the last two summers, this has turned into a sort of family tradition based on the experiences that we have had previously. Tempted by a Labor Day weekend without plans and a new roller coaster - Fire Chaser - that we were excited to get on, this turned into our best visit to the park to date.

This park features unbelievable theming, unmatched charm, a laid back atmosphere, and friendly staff that makes this one of our favorite parks to visit.

With a roller coaster lineup featuring the one two punch of Fire Runner, the RMC single rail, and Matugani, the Intamin hydraulic launch coaster, plus a Vekoma SLC and a wacky worm for the kids, this is quietly becoming a park worth visiting for roller coaster enthusiasts and families alike.

The park is also home to a great collection of flat rides, including the 2022 Golden Ticket Award for Best New Family Attraction of 2022 and the IAAPA Brass Ring Award for Best Major Ride/Attraction in 2022 in Volkanu: Quest for the Golden Idle.

This trackless shooting dark ride mixes thrills with lifelike animatronics, and 3D screens that offer a can’t miss experience when visiting the park.

There is so much to see and do at Lost Island, so join us to see why this is in our opinion a park worth going out of your way to visit.

We head to the East Village in Des Moines, Iowa to one of the coolest shops this vibrant community has to offer - the original Raygun shop.

Home to trendy, unique, and creatively local t-shirts, Raygun has been offering something for everyone since 2005. The store is a mix of local favorites, and unique options that are sure to make you smile. The t-shirts are super soft, but just the beginning of what this store has to offer. With other items like books, cards, stationary, and plenty of other options that are sure to make a perfect gift for the person with a sense of humor.

Join us as we explore the original store in Des Moines and pick up some items that we just couldn’t live without.

Raygun claims to be “The Greatest Store in the Universe,” and while we cannot confirm or deny that as fact, we certainly can confirm that this is a spot worth visiting the next time you are in the area.

We return to Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines, Iowa and this time film the experience to show you what you can expect at Iowa’s largest and only AZA accredited zoo in the state.

This is a smaller zoo of about 50 acres, with some highlights and other spots that could use some work. However, construction is underway for several new areas that are expected to open at this location in the future.

Join us as we take a tour and try to find our favorite animals and exhibits, and see if this is worth considering on your next trip to the state.

We visit Morton Amphitheater in Riverside, Missouri for our first ever experience at this awesome new music venue near Kansas City.

Join us for our all access VIP experience at the bougie Vinyl Lounge as we check out all this property has to offer.

We see "Weird Al" Yankovic as he headlines his Bigger and Weirder tour with Puddles Pity Party as a surprise opening act.

This highly entertaining and impressive show blew us away, and the venue just added to it.

Morton Amphitheater is sure to become a staple for live music in the Kansas City area, and just may be our favorite large venue to see music in the metro.
