Is there risk in trucking even if everything is done right? OF COURSE!

That's why there is insurance. Insurance keeps you in the game when something goes wrong.

The biggest problem is not having it when you need it most or thinking you have the right coverage when you don't.

Always double-check. Always be skeptical. For your sake and the sake of the client.

How confident are you?

What is worth more? Shorter miles or everlasting reliability?

Rates aren't the only valuable aspect of freight. If you're just bringing numbers to the table, you become replaceable. You need reliability.

Your clients should be able to rely on you through every step, not just while signing the contract.

Do you lead with price or value?

Do you need a DOT or an MC number? That's the big question.

With different authorities needed for different setups and freight journeys, it's essential to know where you stand.

Sometimes, you might just need a broker to settle the debate.

So, where do you fall right now?

CB handle ManEaterproved it’s never too late to learn a new skill! 🚛😄 She’d been practicing backing up a truck the old-fashioned way—by playing with her young son’s (our main man, Steve) toy trucks on the living room floor. Who knew trucking lessons could come with sound effects and a toy box? ManEater got the hang of it one tiny truck at a time! Tell us how you learned to back up your rig!

You can't trust everything you see online. There is always a reason why things seem strange, and it's usually because it is.

There are toxic shippers out there, and you need to be able to sniff them out.

Unrealistic additional fees could be a huge sign of that.

We got to share our toxic shipper stories on a recent podcast episode of Freight Gone Wrong.

Have you had an experience with a toxic shipper?

In 1984, my mom broke barriers and hit the road as a truck driver at a time when very few women were in the industry. Watching her determination, work ethic, and commitment to keeping freight moving inspired me from an early age.
Today, as a freight broker, I carry those lessons with me every day. Her journey behind the wheel helped shape my career behind the scenes, connecting shippers and carriers to keep supply chains running strong.
The transportation industry has changed a lot over the years, but one thing remains the same: hard work drives success. Thanks, Mom, for paving the way and showing me what it means to keep moving forward.

NET has TikTok and social media in general to thank for our amazing growth through the years.

One viral TikTok skyrocketed us through a particularly tough year in freight, and we could not be more grateful. Now, as you can see, we are posting more than ever and could not be happier to.

We love connecting with all of you and being a resource for those looking into the industry.

It was an honor to speak on this topic in a recent podcast episode of Freightwaves.

What's your biggest freight question right now that we could answer?

If you were asked where most frustrations come from, what would you say?

We wouldn't say the problem itself, but what wasn't agreed upon up front.

When everyone knows expectations and rules ahead of time, frustrations are far and few in between.

What are your initial steps before a shipment to prevent problems?

Freight isn't just about knowing every detail about freight.

To be successful in this industry, who you are as a person and what you bring to the table mean just as much as your qualifications.

For Amber Larrea, a recent guest on our podcast, The Freight Lane, speaking Spanish and being "weird" help her succeed in her role. Your authenticity can get you further than anything else.

What strange skill has gotten you far in your industry?

Insurance can't be an afterthought.

I am the first to tell new carriers to check their coverage and match it to their freight before moving on to the next steps.

You can't be in a go, go, go mindset if you are not protected.

When was the last time you checked your insurance coverage?
