Earle M Jorgensen Co. , a leading nationwide metals distribution company, is seeking the right individual to learn to operate and program CNC tube laser equipment at our Kansas City facility.
We operate three shifts, five days/week.
Prior experience with laser technology/CNC equipment is a plus but not required.
Our ideal candidate has an aptitude for mechanical equipment, computers and desire/ability to learn CAD programming software and learn how to operate state of the art tube laser equipment.
Set up and run parts on Tube Lasers
Utilize CAD software to program parts on tube lasers
Become knowledgeable of various metal types and how they relate to laser cutting process
Accurately use measuring devises to check parts
Operate material handling equipment - forklifts, side loaders, overhead cranes to move material
High School diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read & understand blueprints and use measurement equipment
Work flexible hours including occasional overtime as required
Pre-employment drug screen and background check
EMJ offers competitive starting hourly wage with upward potential, plus overtime along with comprehensive benefit package (health, dental, vision Insurance), paid holidays, paid vacation and 401k.
