1. Potholes at their worst. Freeze-thaw cycles eat asphalt all winter. May is when the damage is exposed but not yet patched. Steer earlier, follow farther 🕳.

2. Weather that flips fast. A clear sky at noon can be heavy rain by 2 p.m. Watch the radar, not just the windshield ⛈.

3. Wildlife on the move. Deer, coyotes, and bears are most active at dawn and dusk in spring. Headlights catch eyes - but only if you're looking for them 🦌.
