Hi again, everyone!

Today, we were glad to welcome Matt and a fantastic group of students from Kankakee Community College to Thrive Mushrooms.

We had a wonderful discussion about how mushrooms grow, how fungi differ from plants, and the surprising similarities between them.

We also explored biology, microbiology, and mycology, including how mushrooms interact with the immune system and why they're such fascinating subjects in ongoing research.

We also talked about the role mushrooms play in our farmers markets and communities. At Thrive Mushrooms, we believe education and sharing knowledge are key.

Thank you, Matt and the students of Kankakee Community College, for visiting us, asking great questions, and bringing such wonderful energy.

Good morning, everyone!

Thrive Mushrooms is at Daley Plaza Farmers Market today until 2 PM, and after that we'll be at Lincoln Square Farmers Market until 7.

Next week is the last day of the Daley Plaza Farmers Market, and we'd love to say thank you.

A huge thank you to Crystal and Hector for your amazing persistence and commitment from day one all the way to the last market day.

And thank you to Sandra for bringing us into this wonderful market and connecting us with such an energetic, welcoming community.

Tomorrow’s gonna be busy, so we’ve got you covered with freshmushrooms.

Stop by Green City, West Loop, Homewood, or Kankakee markets. Grab some lion's mane, pink oysters, or dried shiitake for seasoning. Oyster mushrooms contain natural beta glucans, and according to studies, they're being looked at for how they interact in the body. More importantly, they're delicious. Come say hi.
