Every excavation project starts long before the first bucket hits the ground.

Whether you're trenching, grading, installing utilities or preparing a site, requesting a utility locate is one of the most important steps before work begins.

Contact Alaska811 at least two business days before excavation to have underground utilities marked at no cost.

A free locate helps:

✔ Protect your crew
✔ Protect underground utilities
✔ Help keep your project on schedule
✔ Reduce the risk of costly repairs, delays and penalties

Remember:
• Utility locates expire after 15 days.
• If markings are no longer visible, request a new locate before continuing work.

Professional planning starts with knowing what's below. Learn more or request a locate at 811AK.com.
