The Hidden War for Your Oil | Matthew 25 and Spiritual Readiness
What happens when the moment you have been waiting for finally arrives, but your spiritual reserve is too low to carry it?
In Matthew 25:1–13, Jesus tells the parable of the ten virgins. All ten had lamps. All ten were waiting. All ten heard the midnight cry. But only five carried enough oil to remain ready through the delay.
In this Tuesday Morning Devotional, Pastor Traycie Small teaches about three hidden battles for your oil:
The war against your secret place
The fight for your personal reserve
The fight to stay fresh and dependent on God
You will discover why you cannot borrow another woman’s secret place, why partial readiness is not the same as being ready, and why another person’s lack of preparation does not automatically become your emergency.
The danger is not only running out of oil. The danger is believing you will always have enough time to get back what you lost.
Ask yourself:
Where am I leaking oil?
What have I been postponing?
Am I depending on yesterday’s encounter instead of seeking fresh direction from God?
There is still time to return, rebuild your reserve, and become ready before midnight comes.
