Was having Guatemala withdrawals … so I went. 🇬🇹

I left Guatemala at 14 and have lived in the U.S. for 39 years,
but every time I go back, it still feels like home.
Familiar. Grounding. And a part of me wakes up again.

Spoiler: you’ll need a permit, strong legs, and a steady grip on those chains 😳

🎟️ Permits are required and can be applied for through the Zion National Park seasonal lottery on Recreation.gov. There’s also a Day-Before Lottery—that’s how I scored mine last minute! 🙌

🔥 Pro tip: If you’re going with a group, have each person apply separately for a solo permit. It’s way easier to snag one that way!
