One leg down….We arrived in Taipei safely. Leg feels okay but I’m ready for a good sleep before we head off for home tomorrow morning. Evaair was excellent and we somehow managed to get bumped to premium economy for the 3 hour flight. Ripped off by Uber from Airport to Hotel. 7 minute ride $65! Flashiest hotel we’ve stayed in for a while. Two king beds so lots of space and super quiet. Having dinner in the hotel buffet that is absolutely packed!

We are heading home tomorrow and decided to come out for our last dinner instead of eating the noodles we had in the kitchen. Might have been a dumb move as we didn’t bring rain coats 😂 guess we are packing wet clothes. Looking forward to arriving home Monday night ✈️

Thank you everyone who has shown such care and love on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. Your comments have really made a difference. Simon and I are having a relaxing couple of days before we fly out of Vietnam on Sunday. We will let you know once we are home safely and I’ve seen the doctors back in Oz.

We’ve published our video on why we are leaving Vietnam. It’s raw and not particularly edited. We’ve tried to share the why as well as what dealing with the Vietnamese health system was like. There’s been tears and disappointment but it’s not the end. Just a hiccup in our full time travel life. We’ve got plenty of videos of our travels still coming out while we deal with this hiccup. We didn’t just visit Hanoi for a few days… we spent 2 MONTHS living there — and it definitely gave us a very different perspective on the city! 😍

From the crazy traffic and incredible Vietnamese food, to finding affordable places to stay, getting around, dealing with the heat, and discovering what we really loved (and didn’t love) about Hanoi…

After spending so much time here, we’ve learned a LOT.
