A little gritty, wildly authentic, and full of the kind of streets you wander without a plan (preferably after a very good lunch and before an even better aperitivo).

Fishing boats in the harbor, crumbling balconies, locals going about their day, and zero pressure to “see all the things.” Just wander, snack, sip, repeat. 🍷

This is your reminder that sometimes the best places on a trip are the ones you almost skipped.

Imagine Thanksgiving, but someone else cooks.

If hosting, grocery shopping and doing dishes aren’t exactly how you want to spend the long weekend, consider taking Thanksgiving on the road this year. The best part? I can handle the hotel, logistics and, most importantly, where you’re eating Thanksgiving dinner.

Trish’s hospitality brought us in… but the food will definitely bring us back. 🦀🍸🌊

We made our way to the rooftop at the new Tide to Table in Ocean City and, in true Aperitivo Travels fashion, ordered enough food to justify calling this a research assignment.

The crab cakes were perfection (as Maryland law basically requires), the smoked seafood ceviche brought fresh, bright coastal flavors with a little smoky twist, and the tuna nachos disappeared so quickly we’re still wondering if we actually got our fair share. We also had the quail—not pictured because sometimes the food arrives and the camera suddenly becomes much less important. 🤷🏼‍♀️

But honestly, what we loved most was the combination of Trish making us feel instantly welcome, a breezy rooftop setting, and a menu that gave us one more reason to get excited about eating in Ocean City.

Because the Ocean City food scene? It’s getting GOOD. And with new spots like Tide to Table joining the mix, we’re very happy to keep doing the important work of eating our way through it. 😉

Come for the rooftop views. Let Trish make you feel like a regular. Stay for the food—and probably order more than you planned.

Somewhere between climbing palm trees and chasing the bluest water I’ve ever seen… I remembered this is exactly why I travel 🌴💙

Aitutaki, Cook Islands is the kind of place that makes you want to put your phone down, lose track of time, and stay for just one more sunset.
