May 7th and May 21st the Walnut Grove Food Pantry will be open as scheduled from 9 AM to 11:30 AM. for eligible residents within our service area. Free clothing will also be available for anyone IN NEED (not for re-sellers).

We thank our Heavenly Father for providing and blessing us with these ministries! God is good!

FOOD is available to those who qualify and live in Walnut Grove, Dale Boro, Solomon, Oakland, Daisytown and lower Geistown. Bring proof of current address. CLOTHING is available to those IN NEED from any community. Clothing is not for those who sell.

We are happy to serve what God provides!

As we observe Holy Week and Easter, we pray that all will consider what our Savior Jesus did for all of us! Claim Him and repent your sins. Victory through Him who shed His blood to pay our sin debt! Eternal Life! Nothing bigger or better!

Walnut Grove Food Pantry will be open in February as scheduled on the first and third Thursdays - the 5th and 19th - from 9 AM to 11:30 AM. for those needing food who live in Dale Boro, Walnut Grove, Solomon, Oakland, and Daisytown who meet income guidelines.

Free clothing is also available to anyone in need. Not for those who take to sell.

God bless those who gave given in any way to provide these ministries, and to those we are blessed to serve.

Our pantry and clothing ministry volunteer staff wishes our church, our donors, our clients, and our community a Christmas filled with the peace and love of our Saviour. We wish everyone many blessings and joy in the new year!

We will not open on New Year's Day (first Thursday of January) -- but WILL open Friday , Jan. 2nd from 9 to 11:30 A.M. and again on the 3rd Thursday, Jan 15th.

Our pantry and clothing ministries celebrated our volunteers for Christmas with a little party following our distribution Dec. 4th. We are very blessed to have such committed, caring, and super generous individuals who give so much of their time, resources, and energy to live out their faith by serving our community. Thank you so much to each of you and also to those behind the scenes who donate food, clothing, and $$. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Walnut Grove Food Pantry will be open on Thursday , Dec. 4th and Dec. 18th from 9 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. for food and free clothing. Food is for those meeting income and residency requirements.

The Lord has richly blessed our pantry this year by providing the food resources to distribute to those needing help providing food for themselves and their families. We are also blessed with the best volunteers! Without them we couldn't operate.

Merry Christmas to all our staff, donors, and clients! Remember that Jesus is the reason for the season....and why we do what we do. Happy Birthday to our Lord and Savior!

On Thursday (November 6th) our pantry experienced the effects of what the federal and state budgets impasse is having on those who depend on SNAP for food. I will not debate the right or wrongs of this benefit...the fact is people needed food and we were able to provide it. Praise and glory to our Lord and Savior for providing the resources - our food donors, financial donors, and our magnificent volunteers who worked diligently and with kindness until every family was served.

We also acknowledge the patience and understanding of those who waited in the long lines. People were socializing and some took advantage of the wait time to shop in our free clothing area.

One third of those we served were new clients, which greatly increases the amount of time it takes to register and process.

A huge thank you to each of our pantry and clothing volunteers! They stayed way beyond closing time and worked their butts off!

Now the work begins to replenish our shelves for the next distribution date in 2 weeks. Please pray for those who are struggling to feed their families and for those working to help provide food, especially during the holiday season. And also that our state and federal representatives will do the jobs they were elected to do and to prioritize PEOPLE, not POLITICS.

Walnut Grove Food Pantry will be open Thursday, Nov. 6th and Thursday, Nov. 20th (the first and third Thursdays) from 9 AM to 11:30 AM. Food will be available for those who meet income guidelines and live in Walnut Grove, Solomon, Dale Boro, Oakland, and Daisytown only.

Our free clothing ministry will be open on these same dates and times for anyone in need.

First time food recipients should bring current ID or a document or utility bill with their name and current address on it

If you do not live in our pantry area as above and need food assistance, call Food for Families at 814 535-3315 and they will direct you to the pantry that serves your address and the dates and times they are open.

God Bless our volunteers and donors of food and money. Without them we could not do what we do!

Walnut Grove Food Pantry is open, as always, the FIRST and THIRD THURSDAYS of every month from 9 AM - 11:30 AM. for those needing food assistance who are eligible by residence and income guidelines.

Free clothing is available to all who are in need regardless of income or where you live.
