Going to Greece? 🇬🇷 Please stop choosing your islands based solely on which hotel, beach, or blue dome popped up on your Instagram feed.
Because here’s what a pretty photo won’t tell you...
🏝️ Santorini, Mykonos, Paros, Naxos and Crete are NOT interchangeable.
They offer completely different experiences, and the right Greek island for your honeymoon might be completely wrong for someone else’s family vacation.
Santorini? 🌅 Incredible views, iconic hotels and romance, but there are things you need to understand about crowds, location and getting around.
Mykonos? 🍾 Yes, there’s nightlife, but there’s also incredible luxury hospitality, beautiful beach clubs and a completely different energy depending on where you stay.
Paros? 🤍 Chic, charming and increasingly popular, with gorgeous villages and a more relaxed rhythm.
Naxos? 🇬🇷 One of my favorites for travelers who want beautiful beaches, fantastic food and a more authentic Greek island experience.
Crete? 🌿 HUGE. This is not an island you casually add for two nights because you saw a pretty resort on Instagram. Where you stay matters enormously.
This is exactly why I don’t start a Greece itinerary by asking:
“Which islands do you want to visit?”
I want to know how you want Greece to feel.
🍷 Slow and romantic?
🏖️ Beach focused?
✨ Glamorous and social?
🇬🇷 Authentic and laid back?
🛥️ Private boats and beautiful hotels?
🌿 Food, culture, and exploring?
THEN we choose the islands.
Because Greece isn’t one destination.
It’s hundreds of islands, completely different experiences, and logistics that actually matter.
So yes, save that gorgeous Greece photo on Instagram.
Just don’t build your entire vacation around it.
Pretty is not an itinerary. Expertise is knowing how to turn the pretty into a trip that actually works. 🇬🇷✨
