Thank you to U.S. Department of Transportation Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology Seval Oz for visiting JAXPORT today.

Assistant Secretary Oz met with members of the skilled workforce that keeps cargo moving every day and toured operations supporting both international trade and trade with Puerto Rico, our largest trading partner.

We also discussed how technology, data, and strategic partnerships are helping improve cargo visibility and supply chain efficiency while strengthening connectivity across the Southeast.

As Florida's largest container port and one of the nation's leading vehicle-handling and breakbulk ports, JAXPORT continues to invest in infrastructure, technology, and people to help customers move cargo more efficiently while supporting jobs and economic growth throughout the region.

Halfway there and built for what’s next 🚗

Construction on JAXPORT’s new vehicle berth is now 50% complete, paving the way for greater capacity, efficiency and flexibility as vehicle volumes grow.

Slated for completion in early 2027, the new Berth 21 will be Blount Island’s third dedicated vehicle berth. It’s part of a $60 million investment, funded in part by Florida Department of Transportation, to increase JAXPORT’s vessel-handling capability while maintaining efficient operations for auto customers.

Today we welcomed the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Headquarters (USACE) to discuss JAXPORT’s role as a strategic gateway for the Southeast U.S. and a driver of jobs, economic growth, and supply chain reliability.

Topics included JAXPORT’s strong trade relationship with Puerto Rico, the port’s cargo and trade lane diversity, and the importance of modern maritime infrastructure in supporting businesses, consumers, and national defense.

We also highlighted our long-standing partnership with the USACE, including the transformational harbor deepening project that expanded opportunities for larger vessels and future growth. The Corps also plays a critical role in maintaining the federal shipping channel at its authorized depth to keep cargo moving efficiently through Jacksonville.

Thank you to Assistant Secretary Adam Telle, Major General Jason Kelly, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District for your partnership and commitment to strengthening America’s supply chain and economy.

JAXPORT partners keep vehicles moving throughout the Southeast U.S. and beyond 🚗

Just months after launching vehicle logistics operations at JAXPORT, terminal operator Enstructure LLC Auto Logistics recently completed its first simultaneous vessel operation — offloading more than 1,700 vehicles from Mitsui OSK Lines’s Paradise Ace and K Line’s Euphrates Highway.

With dedicated berths, multimodal connectivity, and same-day access to nearly 100 million consumers, Enstructure further strengthens JAXPORT’s position as one of the nation’s leading vehicle-handling ports.
