nd Marine Terminal, the Talleyrand Marine Terminal, the Dames Point Marine Terminal, and the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal. JAXPORT develops, manages and markets those publicly-owned facilities to promote the growth of maritime and related industries in Jacksonville Florida and beyond. JAXPORT also offers year-round cruise ship service aboard Carnival Cruise Lines' ship Carnival Fascination. The Carnival Fascination sails from the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal. More capacity is taking shape. 🚗🏗️

Construction continues on JAXPORT's new Vehicle Berth 21 while vessel operations continue alongside the project.

The new berth will increase efficiency for our auto customers and provide additional capacity to support future growth, reinforcing JAXPORT's position as one of the nation's leading vehicle-handling ports.

As regional demand for vehicles continues to grow, we're investing today to strengthen the automotive supply chain for years to come.

Berth 21 is expected to be operational in early 2027.

🎥 Watch as a helicopter crew pulls new, upgraded power lines across the St. Johns River.

Led by JEA in partnership with FDOT, the City of Jacksonville, Florida - Government and JAXPORT, this project will provide 205 feet of operational clearance at our Blount Island terminal—supporting the continued growth of international container trade and the 15,000 jobs it sustains.

“FDOT’s investment in this project will help strengthen JAXPORT’s ability to serve a growing global market and support the efficient movement of goods through one of our state’s most important trade gateways,” said FDOT Secretary Jared W. Perdue, P.E.

“Partnerships like this ensure defense communities have the resilient, modern infrastructure they need to support our installations, our service members and the national defense mission,” said the Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation (OLDCC).

Funded in part by a Department of Defense grant secured through OLDCC, the new Fire Station 48 on Blount Island was made possible through a partnership between the federal government, JAXPORT, and the City of Jacksonville.

Join us in congratulating JAXPORT Contract Compliance & Communications Manager JoAnna Gamble on graduating from FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency’s National Emergency Management Advanced Academy—becoming one of the few professionals nationwide to earn this distinguished certification.

The advanced training strengthens JAXPORT’s preparedness through strategic thinking, collaboration, communication and emergency program oversight. JoAnna’s class also made history as the first NEMAA cohort held in Florida and the first conducted outside the university’s campus.

“I am honored to have been part of this milestone in the advancement of emergency management education,” JoAnna said.

Service Spotlight ⚓️ Premiere Alliance EC3

JAXPORT serves as the first Southeast U.S. port of call in the Premier Alliance’s East Coast 3 (EC3) container service, which directly connects Jacksonville with ports in Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. Vessels in this service, including the HMM Garnet pictured here, can carry nearly 14,000 TEUs (containers).

For importers, JAXPORT’s first-call position means that cargo bound for Florida and the Southeast can begin moving inland sooner, giving shippers a strategically positioned gateway to reach customers and distribution networks throughout the region.

Operated weekly by HMM, Ocean Network Express North America and Yang Ming, the service calls the newly modernized SSA Jacksonville Container Terminal at Blount Island. JAXPORT’s 47-foot-deep shipping channel and no berth congestion help shippers move cargo efficiently and reliably from Asia to markets across the Southeast.
