On race morning at an IRONMAN in Jacksonville, Florida, everything moved fast: the music, the crowd, the anticipation. And then, suddenly, it slowed down. One stroke, one pedal and one step at a time toward the finish line.
As the competition began, Christopher Deschenes, Crowley director of fleet operations, felt something he didn’t expect: calm. Months of training had already done the work. Stroke by stroke and mile by mile, he stayed present and steady, even when doubt tried to creep in.
“My biggest fear was balancing training with work and life. Finishing showed me what’s possible when you commit and pace yourself.”
That same mindset matters every day at Crowley. When people take care of their bodies and minds, they’re better equipped to handle pressure, stay focused and perform when it counts, at work and beyond. Congratulations, Chris, for completing such an incredible feature!
