We are looking for a Class A CDL driver for our OTR position.
Full-Time Drivers to join us hauling loads for AMAZON and other carriers.
We are looking for NIGHT-TIME, EVENING, as well as DAYTIME drivers.
Weekly home time and most weekends
You must be registered with the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse to be eligible for employment. A full query will be ran prior to your road test.
Responsibilities / Job Duties:
First and foremost, work safely at all times without incident.
Conducts pre and post trip vehicle and equipment inspections.
Use safety vest when required and follows all customer safety rules and regulations.
Reports any safety issues or incident (operational and/or safety related) immediately to management.
Assists with light maintenance and upkeep of the vehicles and equipment.
Assists with cleanliness and organization of company provided tractor.
Is a reliable, safe, and positive team member that demonstrates their commitment with proper attendance, verbal or written communication, and conduct.
Other duties as assigned by Safety Manager or Site Leader.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Must have a Class A CDL endorsements. (HazMat a plus)
Must have experience with manual s**t 10 speed tractor.
Must be able to clear all background checks required by the company, customer and government.
Individuals are responsible for maintaining all required licenses and certifications at all times.
Must be able to read, write and understand English.
Must be reliable and dependable & know when to ask for help.
Moderate computer skills are required.
Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Should be willing to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays. Shifts may rotate.
98% travel required.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma/GED
2 years verifiable driving experience required. Previous OTR experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Able to consistently bend, stoop, kneel and climb on and off elevated surfaces
May have to walk long distances on paved or unmaintained or uneven surfaces
Able to climb in and out of a truck cab multiple times per shift, and climb a ladder or steps 10 or more times per day
Able to drive and work outside in adverse weather conditions
