Amador Rides

Amador Rides Amador Rides Volunteer Transportation Program connects volunteer drivers with Amador County residents

Amador Rides was started by members of the Amador County Social Service Transportation Advisory Council in order to fill the needs of Amador County residents who do not have transportation for health care related trips. An enrollment packet is used to review the transportation needs of the applicant and find the best transportation option available, including public transit and Amador Transit's Di

al-a-Ride service. Referrals may also be given to other organizations that provide transportation. For those individuals who have no other options, we will arrange trips with a volunteer driver. Volunteers use their own personal vehicles so riders must be able to self-transfer to a vehicle. Volunteers enjoy the satisfaction of making a difference in someone's life, get to set their own hours, and receive supplemental accident and automobile liability insurance when performing volunteer activities.
