Howdy all, A&SRYc will be running trains this year at the Amador County Fair Grounds in Plymouth, CA. the Main Exhibit building. come by and see the trains running.

Howdy all if your seeing this message your of the lucky few. a few hours ago I went thru and banned a lot of people from this page so if your seeing this I just wanted to say thank you for liking this page. it means a lot to know I have so many friends :-) Please note I don't post on here much I have been posting a lot of our museum page were gearing up for a new re-opening date soon. please add a like to it if you haven't already Amador County Model Railroad Museum.

Due to ongoing issues the A&SRYc will not be rebuilding the layout here in Jackson, At the Jackson Hill's Apartment's. the Railroad has been moved to it's new location in Pinegrove, CA. and is involved with the Amador County Model Railroad Museum.

Greetings all, wanted to inform you all that A&SRYc here in Jackson no longer operates. It has moved to new location in Pinegrove, CA. and is part of the Amador County Model Railroad Museum A&SRYc owns the layout and is still running trains every weekend 10 AM to 5 PM. So come see the trains.

Once trains are running fully on the layout, the Amador & Sierra Railway for a short time will change it's name to pay respect to my grandfather Glen Critchfield, the railroad will be renamed (Central Valley and Southern Ry) for a short bit of time. to be here for that a special CV&SRy PASS card will be issued out, Only 10 cards will be placed out. when the railroad goes back to Amador & Sierra Railway, if you retain your CV&SRy card it will grant you unlimited access to operate on the A&SRYc Railroad. To obtain a CV&SRy card one must be present on 3rd and 4th Saturday's of the month. only a select few will be chosen by random drawing.

Finished the removable sections, and now wiring in the digitrax AR-1 units for the reverse loop on the upper level and the reverse return track on the lower section. Here are a few pics of the last removable section.

More progress on the layout the helix is done I just need to Finnish the track and roadbed work on it. More pics to come...

Howdy all, long time no posting but I do have some good news, the home layout A&SRYc is finally going back in as it originally was. I spoke to the on site manager and she is ok with the railroad. As this layout is built on a Modular standpoint the next time it comes out will be when I move out of this complex. That being said I will no longer tolerate stupid property supervisors trying to dictate my life, they want it gone well pay for it. I did and the original build took me over 3 years to build at a overall cost of 8k, most of it is still here so it's just a matter of time to match it all up, new roadbed is going down and new track has been lay down in a few spots, but once I am at the point to start test running trains I will post progress photos for all of you to enjoy.
