Nov. 13–15, Jackson will welcome thousands for an unforgettable celebration featuring 300+ artists, Delta blues, gospel, Southern soul, HBCU culture, marching bands, food, crafts, storytelling and more.

Today, we kicked off Phase 1 of property beautification near the roundabout off Old Brandon Road.

What’s happening?
Tree removal + mulching to help create a cleaner, more welcoming look around the airport property.

And this is just the beginning.
Phase 1 is underway. Phase 2 is coming soon.

From the curb to the terminal, we’re continuing to look for ways to improve the JAN experience for our travelers and community.

History landed at JAN. And we were honored to be part of the moment. ✈️

Last week, JMAA welcomed Ambassador Andrew Young and his wife to Jackson for the Medgar Wiley Evers Lecture Series.

Before heading into the city, they stopped to tour the Medgar Evers Pavilion at JAN and connect with the story and legacy of one of Mississippi’s most important civil rights leaders.

Then came the moment that made it even more meaningful: Reena Evers-Everett, Medgar Evers’ daughter, joined our team for the es**rt.

Delta Fest was well attended, and our team was right in the middle of the conversation.

🎤 General Counsel Kimberly Carlisle represented JMAA as a speaker on “Certification Readiness: The Capital & Scale Constraints Holding Firms Back.”

And Kim wasn’t the only one! Several JMAA team members participated throughout the event, connecting with industry leaders, building relationships, and sharing in conversations about Mississippi’s aerospace & defense future.

The world is mourning the loss of Cassandra Wilson, but Jackson will forever remember her as one of our own.

A two-time Grammy Award winner. An NEA Jazz Master. A global icon.

Her unmistakable voice carried the soul of Mississippi from Jackson to stages around the world.

Today, we honor her life, her artistry, and a legacy that will continue to be heard for generations.

And now? We do it again.

As facility enhancements continue and plans for the future take shape, JMAA remains committed to building better airports for the people and communities we serve.
