Congratulations to INRD's TWO scholarship recipients: Aariyjah Dye, daughter of INRD Human Resources Coordinator Anika Jackson and Kale Allen, son of INRD Train Operator Keiffer Allen!

Aariyjah plans to attend Danville Area Community College where she will major in radiography to pursue a career as an X-ray technician. Aariyjah shared her motivation for this career path, stating: “Becoming an X-ray technician is deeply personal to me. After a past accident, I saw firsthand how vital imaging professionals are to patient recovery."

Kale plans to attend Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College to major in General Business. Kale’s decision to stay local reflects deep community values: “I have witnessed INRD’s commitment to its employees, families, and the businesses they serve. (Attending SMWC) allows me to remain a part of our Wabash Valley community and support growth and service in our area.”

INRD President & CEO Derrick Wright, along with members of the executive team, recently spent several days traveling across the railroad to visit every on‑duty location as part of our Trackside Talks meetings.

These in‑person conversations gave team members the chance to hear company updates, ask questions, and engage directly with leadership. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make these discussions productive and meaningful as we continue moving INRD forward together.

At the April 6 City County Council meeting, Councilor Kristin Jones (District 18) sponsored a Special Resolution recognizing INRD’s 40th anniversary and our longstanding commitment to innovation, reliability, and customer service. The resolution was passed by the City of Indianapolis Council this week and signed by Mayor Joe Hogsett.

The resolution also highlighted INRD’s impact beyond the rails through our Community Grants Program, Santa Train, and the high-quality jobs we provide, all of which help strengthen Indiana's workforce and the local economy.

INRD’s executive team accepted the recognition on behalf of all current and former employees whose dedication and hard work made this milestone possible.
