This summer, a small crew paddled 84 miles down the White River — from Muncie to Indianapolis — to document a story that’s been unfolding for decades.

On September 11th, we finish the journey.

The White River Rising crew will arrive by paddle at White River State Park at 5pm, completing the final leg from Frank’s Paddlesports Livery to the heart of Indianapolis. And we want you there when we do.

Join us for the White River Rising Finale Celebration — a free public event on Celebration Plaza at White River State Park from 5 to 8pm.

We’re open again!

The river flooded, and we shifted gears to helping with relief efforts in Rocky Ripple and Ravenswood the last couple weeks. Now the river is back down to safe paddling levels and we're ready to get you all back on the river!

Peter recently paddled the full route, cleared a downed tree blocking the water, and our crew spent today cleaning up the launch and exit sites so you don't have to think twice about getting out there.

The White River is ready. Frank's is ready. Are you?

Continuing to help neighbors in need. We have to thank the Parks Alliance or Indianapolis, Friends of the White River & The Home Depot. We’re working on supplying thousands of dollars worth of supplies for clean up.

This is what the river community has been up to since the flooding was predicted.

Helping neighbors in need. Finding and sourcing supplies for the cleanup. Volunteering wherever an extra set of hands is needed.
