Most people think the biggest risk in planning their own travel is overspending.

But honestly? A lot of the hidden cost shows up somewhere else.

It shows up in the hours spent comparing options that all start to blur together.

It shows up in second-guessing hotel choices, flight times, locations, room categories, and reviews.

It shows up in trying to piece together advice from TikToks, blogs, Facebook groups, and search results that may or may not actually fit your trip.

And it definitely shows up when something changes and you’re the one left trying to sort it all out.

That’s the part people don’t always see.

A travel advisor isn’t just there to “book something.” We help filter the noise, narrow the options, and make sure the trip actually fits you. 🤍

If travel planning has ever left you overwhelmed, this is your reminder that you don’t have to do it all alone.

If you’re staring at your calendar thinking, “Wait… we could still take a summer trip,” you’re not wrong.

Last-minute summer travel is still possible — it just takes the right strategy and a little flexibility.

Here’s what helps most when booking closer-in:
Date flexibility (even ±1–2 days can open up better options)
Being open on destination/airport/drive time
Prioritizing your top 2–3 must-haves (beach, budget, nonstop, family-friendly, etc.)

If any of the ideas in this post sound like your vibe, send me: your date range + who’s going + budget comfort zone + “beach/city/mountains/cruise” …and I’ll narrow it down to a few strong options you can actually book.

No pressure — just a quick path from “we should” to “we’re going.”

A quick planning heads-up: some trips really do need a summer booking window if you want the best choices (dates, rooms/cabins, and smoother logistics).

This graphic is my “don’t wait too long” list — because these trips tend to book up first or get harder to plan last-minute.

If one of these is on your list, here’s the easiest way to start:

DM me your travel window (even a range) + who’s going + your budget comfort zone and I’ll narrow it down to a few solid options that fit.

No pressure — just a smart head start so you’re not stuck settling later.

"Travel Tip Tuesday:
Summer theme park days can be so much fun… but they can also go sideways quickly if everyone gets too hot, too hungry, or too overstimulated ☀️

One of the smartest things you can do is build intentional breaks into the day before anyone hits the wall.

A few practical ways to do that:

✨ Start early if you can
Do your priority rides in the morning while energy is high and temperatures are lower.

✨ Plan a midday reset
This could look like heading back to the resort, sitting down for a long indoor meal, catching a show, or spending time in an air-conditioned attraction.

✨ Don’t wait until everyone is miserable
Breaks work best when you take them early — not when everyone is already melting down.

✨ Pick one “slow moment” each day
A carousel, people-watching break, indoor show, playground stop, or a treat break can help the day feel more manageable.

✨ Pack for recovery, not just convenience
Cooling towels, refillable water bottles, portable fans, sunscreen, and blister protection go a long way.

This is one of those travel tips parents tend to appreciate after learning the hard way, so this one is definitely worth saving for later 💾

I’ve been a little quiet over here in March and April… but behind the scenes, travel planning has been in full swing ✈️

Cruising is still 🔥 right now! I’ve recently helped two families book spring break sailings aboard Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas for March 2027, and I’m currently working with another family exploring cruise options for their next big getaway.

I’ve also been doing some cruising of my own for research (tough job, I know 😉). I sailed on Liberty of the Seas for a 4-night getaway and just returned from an 8-night adventure on Adventure of the Seas. I can’t wait to share more insights, tips, and favorites from both ships!

Beyond cruising, I’m currently planning a beautiful fall adventure to South Dakota for a couple looking to experience something a little different 🍂

If you’ve been thinking about a trip for this year or next, now is a great time to start planning—and I’d love to help make it easy and stress-free for you.

Let’s start planning your next memory 💙
