For 50 years, Yates Dial-A-Ride has been more than transportation. We have been a connection to work, medical appointments, shopping, family, friends, and the community we are proud to call "Home".
Last week, members of the Yates Dial-A-Ride Authority board, along with our Executive Director and Finance Director, spent three days together focusing on Board governance, leadership, roles and responsibilities, and how we can continue strengthening our organization for the future.
The retreat gave us an opportunity to learn, listen, ask questions and have meaningful conversations about what good governance looks like and how the board and staff can work together effectively while keeping our community at the center of the decisions we make.
As we celebrate 50 years of public transportation service, we are also looking ahead to the next chapter of Yates Dial-A-Ride.
We are grateful to the board members, employees, community partners, local leaders, passengers, and residents who have supported public transportation throughout the years. Every mile traveled, and every passenger served is part of the Yates Dial-A-Ride story.
Our commitment remains the same: serving our community with safe, dependable, accessible transportation, and being there for people who depend on us.
