Growing up in the heart of Idaho’s fresh potato market, it is difficult to remember a time when potatoes or shipping was not a part of my every day life. As a boy I can remember tagging along to my Dad’s potato warehouse on the weekends so I could admire the big semi trucks coming in to pick up their truckloads of potatoes. As I began to mature it became evident that my childhood admiration of sem

i trucks would develop into much more. I started my career in transportation for a large refrigerated fleet whose roots were also deep in potato hauling. I found myself fleet managing 50 of the company’s trucks where I began learning much of my knowledge that I would need to know to run a successful fleet of my own. After several years as a dispatcher I was promoted to freight coordinator. I then advanced to the brokerage department and onto sales complimented by driver recruiting. I still felt that while I was excelling in operations I needed to better understand the driving aspect of the industry. After nearly a decade of working for someone else I decided that it was time to implement my skills by owning and operating my own fleet.
