Introducing "ANSUN EXCHANGE"! A place for the driving community to unite and help each other!
I'm sure that you've noticed tha the trucking industry is no longer the tight-knit community that it once was. Some of you veteran drivers can remember the time when you could simply pick up the CB and get help from an experienced driver near you. It's been said that the downward trend in our "driving family" started once the internet and smartphones increased in popularity and older forms of communication like CB radios were used less. This further isolated the drivers and caused them to rely more heavily on other already overburdened outside resources that were less reliable. The phones in dispatch, road breakdown, and other company contacts stay overwhelmed causing information and oftentimes critical help to be delivered to the driver too late resulting in late deliveries, missed opportunities, and even life & death situations.
I'm hoping you will join us on this social website for drivers and others within the trucking industry. There will be live chat you can access instantly from your smartphone, tablet, or computer to find drivers in your area or areas that you are traveling to in order to get answers fast. Maybe you're a new driver and have more questions than answers. Here's a resource to help you. Or maybe you're a veteran driver that can lend advice and help preserve and strengthen our driving community with your years of knowledge and experience. Your help is most welcome here.
I really hope this will be useful, but it won't work unless drivers get involved. Please join us. Registration is free, you get a personal email address, message forums, and lots of other freebies. You also get instant access to hazardous weather/road conditions through our "ANSUN Alerts" bulletins so you can be familiar with the conditions before you get on the road. If nothing else, you have at least say hi to RoadBot in the chat room. He'll do things like get you the current weather anywhere in the world or even 4 day forecasts so you can prepare for what's ahead on your trip. We're also planning all sorts of other things like an AI (artificial intelligence) chatbot that will be able to answers driver's questions 24/7--we're loading it with trucking industry knowledge more and more every day!
