The nonprofit Collis P. Huntington Railroad Historical Society would like to thank CSX for their generosity in painting our Braddock Inn passenger car into its as-delivered Pennsylvania Railroad Tuscan paint scheme! The passenger car was recently painted at CSX's Huntington Locomotive Shops by its paint shop crews. The paint shop crew was very dedicated to the project and took great pride in painting our car in its as-delivered scheme. We cannot thank them enough for all of their hard work and we're excited to debut this car on board our 2017 New River Train Excursions in October 2017! Afterward, the car will be used in charter service across the Midwest and Northeast into 2018 showing off its beautiful new paint scheme. Thank you, CSX!

A new car has come to park in Huntington the other day. An old Ringling Circus car will be stored in south yard and renovated. We want to remind everyone that this is an active railroad yard and not a museum. No one should attempt to trespass on railroad property. This car is privately owned by individuals and we will not be allowing access to it. You may photograph the car from the road if you wish to.

After extensive work done this winter to the Braddock Inn, here are some photos the day before our first Cherry Blossom Trip to Washington DC. Thank you to all the volunteers who did this remodel. Over 900 volunteer hours were spent between December 27, 2016 and March 22, 2017.

After 3 months of work, 900 volunteer hours, and lots of late nights, the Braddock Inn is finally finished being remodeled. We will be posting more photos in the next few days to compare the before and after. Thank you for all the hard work to all our volunteers: Terrence, Jeff, Robin, Steve, Chris, Joe, Tina, Kim, Greg, Cooper, Cory, and Eddie. There are several more volunteers who helped but these are just a few who played a big role in getting the car done. Thank you to Jackson Brothers Carpet and Flooring for doing a terrific job on the vinyl and carpet flooring. Thank you to Ed Combs Auto Upholstery for the phenomenal job on the wall panels and booth cushions. Our next and last major upgrade to the Braddock Inn will be to raise money to paint the exterior back to its original Pennsylvania Railroad Tuscan Red livery.

Things are wrapping up on the Braddock Inn project after 3 months of remodel work. Over 750 volunteer hours have gone into work over the last 3 months in order to have the car ready for Cherry Blossom Trips in March and April. Thank you to Ed Combs Auto Upholstery for the new cushions, wall panels, and more materials. Also thank you to Jackson Brothers Carpet for doing a great job in the floor. More photos of the finished product of our remodel will be posted in the coming weeks.

The NYC 38 is assisting in hosting several congressional receptions. Other cars attending are the Sierra Hotel and Georgia 300 all representing AAPRCO.
