Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we come before You standing in the gap for our children, our families, our marriages, our schools, and our households.
Lord, we place every child under Your covering. As they leave home each morning, protect them. As they sit in classrooms, walk through hallways, ride buses, participate in activities, and travel home, surround them with Your angels. Father, let our children return home safely.
Protect them from violence, accidents, bullying, abuse, drugs, weapons, bad influences, and every danger seen and unseen. Give our children wisdom and discernment. When something does not feel right, give them the courage to speak up, walk away, and seek help.
Lord, cover every teacher, bus driver, counselor, administrator, crossing guard, school employee, and parent. Give them wisdom to recognize danger and the courage to act when something is wrong.
Father, bring peace back into our homes. Strengthen marriages and families. Heal broken relationships. Restore communication between parents and children. Give parents wisdom, patience, discernment, and strength to raise and protect the children You have entrusted to us.
We pray for every mother and father who sends their child out the door wondering if they will make it home safely. Replace fear with Your peace, but also keep us watchful, prayerful, and attentive.
Lord, where the enemy desires destruction, we ask You to intervene. Let our schools be places of learning, safety, purpose, and peace.
No child is forgotten in this prayer. No family is forgotten. No household is forgotten.
We stand in the gap and declare that our children belong to God. May His hand rest upon them when they leave home and when they return.
Father, keep our babies. Cover our schools. Protect our families. Strengthen our marriages. Bring our children home safely.
