Myth #3- Older kids and teens will not like Disney World.

This is simply not true! Your kids do not have to be little for Disney World to be magical.

In fact…
*During our last trip (July 2025), I was struck by how many families with teens I saw.
*My boys (19 and 16) still repeatedly request Disney World for our family vacations.
*I’ve been planning more and more theme park vacations for families with older kids this year.

And I get it. We can all use a little magical escape.

As kids get older, their stressors get bigger too. Grades. College applications. Essays. Tests. Sports and activities. There is a lot going on and they need a break from it as much as we do.

Disney World vacations change as kids get bigger. Less stress, less stuff to carry around, no tantrums, and more flexibility.

But the most important part remains the same….
You’re making memories together, sharing in the joy of being somewhere that lets everyone feel like a kid again.

Iceland 🇮🇸: Just Booked!

This amazing family loves exploring national parks, hiking, and outdoor adventures so Iceland felt like the perfect fit for their next trip.

But planning this vacation came with a few decisions to make.

❓Summer or Fall?
❓One home base or a multi-city adventure?
❓And how do you fit Blue Lagoon, whale watching, black sand beaches, waterfalls, hiking, and plenty of exploring into just a little over a week?

We talked through the pros and cons of both travel seasons based on their must-do list, and I created two completely different itinerary options.

One kept them in one city with day tours to do all their activities.

The other had them moving through three cities, allowing them to experience more of Iceland and fit in the activities that mattered most to them.

They Chose The Adventure!

Now they have a summer 2027 trip to look forward to and an itinerary designed around how they love to travel.

I’m beyond excited for this family to explore this stunning destination together❤️

I will be tackling common Disney vacations planning myths about twice a week. Make sure you’re following along!

Myth #1: You have to book your Disney World vacation 6+ months out.

The short answer is …. Not necessarily.

There are real benefits to planning early, especially if you have specific resorts, room type, family of 5+, dining experiences, or travel dates in mind. But if you’re closer in than six months out, don’t count Disney World out!

The key is knowing what matters most for your trip and plan accordingly.
