Today is the birthday of our owner, our leader, our mentor, our confidante, our advisor, our fashion plate, the Queen of the Cranes, the one and only Vickie Jones McRay!

Today McRay Crane celebrates 40 years of business!!

Dan and Vickie McRay didn't know what the future of McRay Crane and Rigging would be 40 years ago, they only knew they would work tirelessly to make it the best they could.

And they did.

After Dan’s passing, Vickie persevered, her faith in her employees - and herself - the love, support, and hard work of her sons and family, a work ethic that is all too rare, and a determination to prove herself, she, along with Matthew, Jonathan, and Dustin, kept the doors of McRay Crane wide open. Over the years, they have added to the fleet, added employees, added office space and bigger yards, and kept the crane moving!

Has it always been easy? Absolutely not. But if you ask the McRays, they will tell you, without hesitation, that it has always been worth it.

40 years later, bigger, more successful, and stronger than ever. Vickie has made her mark in the crane world, showing a strength and tenacity to make it in a heavily male-dominated industry. Her boys have been right beside her, running cranes, running numbers, working in the shop, working in Dispatch, taking a hands-on approach to grow, build, and learn.

We are, as a team, always growing, building, and learning, together. The McRay Crane and Rigging family is second to none, and we stand on a solid foundation. We never stop working ... for success, for pride, for respect, and to preserve the McRay legacy and family name.

Here's to everyone that has helped build McRay Crane: the employees, the customers, the friends, the family members, and most of all, Vickie, Matt, Jona and Dustin McRay, our leaders, employees, and friends.

We know that Dan looks down on us with pride, and he is always with us, cheering us on. We will continue to make him proud, for years to come, into the next generation and beyond.

To 40 years - and many, many more!
