Last week, UMA members sat across from legislators and their staff on Capitol Hill.
The ask wasn’t complicated. It was clear. Protect the Charter Service Protections that have kept the playing field fair for private motorcoach operators since 1974. Don’t raise federal insurance minimums that would push more operators out of an already strained market. Cosponsor HR 2526 and give motorcoach operators equal access to the toll roads, bridges, and lanes they operate on every day. We didn’t go to Washington asking for favors. We went asking Congress to protect an industry that moves millions of Americans — and to stand behind laws that have worked for over 50 years.
