Do you know what a ECTN is and why it's required for shipments to Africa?

A Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN) is a mandatory certificate required when shipping goods to over 24 African countries.

It records essential shipment details like the BL number, cargo value and ports giving customs authorities full visibility before the vessel arrives.

Without a valid ECTN shipments can face delays, fines or even rejection at the destination port.

At AfricaCTN, we handle the entire filing process as an authorized agent, ensuring every shipment is accompanied by a compliant CTN.

Read our full guide to understand how the ECTN works and why it is essential for smooth shipping.
