Friday, May 2, 2025, 12:50 PM CONTAINER TERMINAL UPDATE

As of 12:20 PM, the widespread area internet outage that impacted both container terminals has been resolved. Bayport and Barbours Cut Container Terminals are now processing transactions. Emails and phone services have resumed, and we are operating as expected. We will continue with regular business hours for today. The gate will close at 6:00 PM and we will process all trucks that are in the yard.

No extended hours are planned now, but we will communicate if anything changes. Import free time will be waived today, May 2nd, and will not be included in the free time calculation. Please remember that Port Houston's free time is given to the shipping line. Any free-time discussions and questions should be directed to the shipping line.

Sunday, January 19, 2025, 12:18 PM Weather Update:

No changes to our previously posted schedule for Monday. Port Houston's Container Terminals, Bayport and Barbours Cut, will be open tomorrow, Monday, January 20.

Container terminal truck gates will open at 6 am with the ingate closing at 4 pm. Vessel ops will be suspended Monday evening based on local weather conditions and will be communicated through our regular channels. Our Turning Basin Facility Truck Office will be closed in observance of the Martin Luther King holiday.

Due to the expected wintry weather conditions, all Port Houston facilities will be closed on Tuesday, January 21.

We continue to monitor weather conditions and will provide our next update Monday afternoon.

Extended Gate Hours:
Bayport and Barbours Cut container terminals will have extended hours on Saturday, Sept. 28th. 2024.

Please see the gate hours listed below:
Saturday, September 28th, 2024: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Ingate closes at 4:00 PM)

Important Notes:
• Empty Yards will be open
• Port Houston Customer Service will be available
• Please confirm LFD/Cutoffs with the SSL
• No OOG/Reefers

Wednesday, September 18, 2024 Terminal Update

We’ve received many inquiries regarding the potential work stoppage, and we understand your concerns. Please know that we remain committed to supporting our partners during this time. While the information we have is limited, we want to share what we know so far:

• The USMX – ILA master contract expires at midnight on September 30th, 2024.

• A work stoppage is expected on October 1st, 2024 if negotiations fail to reach an agreement.

• The container terminals will receive export cargo through Monday, September 30th, we plan to work vessels and gates until 7 pm.

• If a window is set to open on Monday, September 30th the cargo will be allowed to ingate until the gate closes at 6 pm. Receiving windows for vessels working after September 30th will be impacted, please be sure to monitor the vessel schedules/ERD/Cutoffs

• We encourage imports to be picked up as soon as possible, anything in the yard after 7 pm on September 30th, 2024, will be unavailable until the work stoppage ends. On the days the container terminal gates are closed, storage to the line and Import Dwell Fee will not apply.

• If the risk of a work stoppage remains during the week of September 23rd, Port Houston will evaluate the need for additional gate hours. We do plan to offer a Saturday Gate on September 28th, 2024. Please look for confirmations early next week.

• In the event of a work stoppage, we will consider extended gate hours once operations resume to ensure a quick and smooth recovery for everyone.

Leading up to September 30th, we expect normal business operations. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as we receive more information. Thank you for your patience.

The Houston port will be closed tomorrow

Monday, July 8, 2024, 4:05 PM Weather Update:

After conducting preliminary assessments of our facilities, power, and systems, all Port Houston terminals will remain closed tomorrow (Tuesday, July 9, 2024).

We will continue to assess and repair damage this afternoon and tomorrow and will send an update by 4 PM CT tomorrow if there any further disruptions to operations for Wednesday.

We'd like to thank everyone for their understanding and support though the devastating weather Houston received on May 16, 2024. As of 2:00am this morning our last location regained power. This means we are back to our normal shipping and receiving hours.

In the mist of the severe weather that the Houston, Tx area sustained last night May 16, 2024, Dixie Cullen is without power at 5 of the locations. Shipping and receiving has been put on hold at these 5 locations while cosmetic damages to Dixie Cullen properties are repaired. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
