Important notice for all Root River Trail users! The trail is closed for repairs between Cushions Peak Campground and the West Side of Houston. You’ll find well marked detour signs along the trail near highway 16 on both ends. Don’t let this detour change your plans of getting to Houston - it’s a short stretch on highway 16 with a great shoulder. Stay safe Friends!

The Houston Public Library was busy as a beehive - with bicycles- on Wednesday, Aug. 20, when 50 or more young cyclists brought their bikes to the library parking lot for mechanical and safety checkups.
