COVID-19 Restrictions on Business Aviation for US Passenger Flights

*All pax age 2 and over, vaccinated or not, must have negative COVID tests taken within 3 calendar days prior to departure to the USA*
Europe
Austria is open. Unvaccinated pax need a negative PCR test taken within 72 hrs or an Antigen test taken within 48 hrs prior to departure.
Belgium is open. Unvaccinated pax need a negative PCR test taken within than 72 hrs prior to departure.
Croatia is open. Tourists must have proof of paid accommodations. Unvaccinated pax need a negative PCR test taken within 72 hrs or an Antigen test taken within 48 hrs prior to arrival.
Cyprus is open. Pax must register online for travel approval.
Czech Republic is open. Unvaccinated pax need a negative PCR test taken within 72 hrs prior to departure.
Denmark is open. Unvaccinated pax need a negative PCR test taken within 72 hrs or an Antigen test taken within 48 hrs prior to departure.
Finland is open to vaccinated passengers with no restrictions. Unvaccinated pax still need an exceptional reason to enter.
France is open. Pax locator forms & sworn statements are required.
Germany moved the USA back into the High-Risk country category. Any traveler having spent any time in the preceding 10 days in the USA before entering Germany must have either vaccine cert, COVID testing, or proof of recovery. Different protocols for vaccinated vs unvaccinated pax.
Greece is open. Unvaccinated pax need a negative PCR test taken within 72 hrs or an Antigen test taken within 48 hrs prior to departure. All domestic travel between airports is forbidden without a negative PCR/Antigen test for unvaccinated pax.
Hungary is allowing US flights for essential business reasons or for vaccinated travelers without any restrictions. A local invitation letter is required for unvaccinated pax on business. Unvaccinated pax must have a negative PCR test taken within 72 hrs prior to arrival.
Iceland is open. Pax must register online for travel approval. Unvaccinated pax need a negative PCR test taken within 72 hrs prior to departure. Vaccinated pax also need a test, but it could be PCR or Antigen. Crews must have negative PCR or Antigen tests if staying more than 48 hrs.
Ireland is open. Unvaccinated pax need a negative PCR test taken within 72 hrs prior to arrival.
Italy is open. Unvaccinated pax need a negative PCR test taken within 72 hrs prior to departure.
Netherlands is open. Unvaccinated pax must have a negative PCR test taken within 48 hrs or a Rapid Antigen test taken within 24 hrs prior to departure.
Poland is open. Unvaccinated pax need a negative PCR test taken within 48 hrs prior to departure and must go into a 10-day quarantine with possible release on day 8 after a negative test on day 7.
Portugal is open. Unvaccinated pax need a negative PCR test taken within 72 hrs or an Antigen test taken within 48 hrs prior to departure. The Azores only accepts the PCR tests.
Russia is open for business travel from the USA. Pax must register online for travel approval. E-visa issuance suspended UFN.
Spain is open. Pax must register online to complete the FCS-SpTH form within 48 hrs prior to travel and receive a QR code.
Sweden is open. Vaccinated and unvaccinated pax must have a PCR test that is taken within 48 hrs prior to arrival. No quarantine needed.
Switzerland is open. Unvaccinated pax need a negative PCR test taken within 72 hrs or a Rapid Antigen test taken within 48 hrs prior to departure.
Turkey is open. Unvaccinated pax need a negative PCR test taken within 72 hrs or a Rapid Antigen test taken within 48 hrs prior to arrival.
Hawaii
Hawaii has lifted all testing and quarantine requirements for vaccinated pax who have completed their 14-day immunity waiting period. Unvaccinated pax must continue to abide by testing/quarantine protocols.
Atlantic Islands
Bermuda is open for int’l pax flights from the USA. PCR testing, quarantine, & online registration requirements differ for vaccinated vs unvaccinated pax.
Central America
Costa Rica is open. No quarantine, no COVID testing required. Insurance is required for unvaccinated adults ages 18 and older.
South America
Argentina permits essential & tourism travel from some South American countries, but bans flights from Brazil, Chile, and Mexico. USA nationals must obtain consular travel approval. Only Buenos Aires SADF & SAEZ airports are open for int’l flights.
Brazil is open. Crew & pax ages 12 & over must have negative PCR test results taken within 72 hrs prior to last embarkation point to Brazil. No quarantine unless arriving without negative PCR test results.
Chile has reopened to Chilean nationals, permanent residents, and foreign nationals who have a Special Entry Permit from a Chilean consulate. All approved travelers must undergo 10-day quarantine & have negative PCR tests taken within 72 hrs prior to departure.
Colombia is open. Online registration is required.
Ecuador is open. A negative PCR test is required for unvaccinated pax no older than 72 hrs. Arrivals from Brazil require a 10-day quarantine. Be mindful of expiring PCR tests if overnighting on the mainland and continuing next day to the Galapagos. Unvaccinated crews must have PCR tests for Galapagos.
Middle East
Israel continues requirements for pre-arrival travel permission & quarantine protocols. US vaccine cards are accepted.
Kuwait is open to vaccinated travelers without 7-day quarantine. Foreign travelers must have sponsor & travel reason for entry.
Qatar is open to vaccinated pax only. Pax must still have a PCR test taken within 72 hrs prior to arrival. Pax must pre-register online at least 12 hrs prior to departure.
Saudi Arabia is open. Vaccinated pax are exempt from the 7-day quarantine. All pax must register online, use contact tracing app, have medical insurance & arrive with negative PCR tests taken within 72 hrs prior to departure. Only fully vaccinated crews allowed entry.
United Arab Emirates are open with varying travel restrictions.
Dubai: Pax must have negative PCR COVID test results taken within 72 hrs prior to departure to Dubai & must use the COVID-19 DXB SMART app. Flight crews are exempt from PCR testing but face hotel confinement for duration of stay without negative tests. No exemptions for vaccinated crews.
Abu Dhabi: Pax and crew must have negative PCR or DPI COVID-19 test results taken within 72 hrs prior to arrival. A PCR test will be done upon arrival and vaccinated pax will need to quarantine for 7 days and unvaccinated pax need to quarantine for 10 days.
United Kingdom
The UK (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) is open to quarantine-free travel for fully-vaccinated Americans when traveling from the USA, any Amber list country, or any EU/EFTA/Schengen Area country. PCR test protocols are still required.
Caribbean
Bahamas. All islands are open. All travelers must have a negative PCR or Antigen test taken within 5 days prior to arrival date. All travelers must complete a Travel Health Visa prior to arrival. Unvaccinated pax age 12+ must take a 2nd test on day 5 if applicable.
Curacao is open. Pax must register online with negative PCR COVID test results taken 72 hrs before arrival. An additional Antigen test is required on day 3 after arrival. Health insurance required.
Dominican Rep is open. No COVID testing prior to arrival. Pax must register online for random airport PCR testing.
Jamaica is open. All passengers must arrive with either negative PCR or Antigen COVID test results taken within 3 days prior to arrival. Travelers must stay in hotels that are part of the ‘Resilient Corridors’.
Puerto Rico is open for int’l arrival at TJSJ, TJIG, TJPS, and TJBQ airports. Unvaccinated pax must have negative molecular or antigen tests performed within 72 hrs prior to arrival. Crews need PCR tests for stays of over 72 hrs.
St. Barthelemy (St. Barts) allows quarantine-free travel for vaccinated pax; pax must have negative PCR test taken within 72 hrs or negative Rapid Antigen test within 48 hrs prior to departure to St. Barts. Unvaccinated pax must have compelling reason to enter and must obtain travel approval.
St. Maarten/TNCM (Dutch side) is open. Crews who overnight & all pax must register online. Pax must have negative RT-PCR tests taken within 72 hrs or negative Antigen tests taken within 48 hrs prior to arrival. Pax must have medical insurance coverage. No quarantine if arriving with negative tests. Flights are restricted from Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao.
Turks & Caicos are open. All pax and crew must have a negative PCR or Antigen test taken within 3 days prior to departure. Pax must register online 3 days prior. Health insurance requirements.
US Virgin Islands are open. Unvaccinated pax must have a negative antigen or molecular test taken within 5 days prior to departure to the islands.
Canada
Canada is open for quarantine-free tourism for fully-vaccinated Americans. Vaccinated Americans must arrive with negative PCR tests, written quarantine plans, and register with the ArriveCAN app/web program. Int’l arrivals are allowed only to 9 airports: CYUL, CYYZ, CYYC, CYVR, CYHZ, CYQB, CYOW, CYWG, CYEG. Unvaccinated pax remain limited to essential travel.
Mexico
Mexico is open for all travel. All pax must register online & complete a Health form to receive a QR code for entry. Flights departing Mexico for Argentina are banned by the Argentinian gov’t.
Africa
Botswana is open. Both pax & crew must have PCR tests taken within 72 hrs prior to arrival time.
Maldives is open. All passengers must have PCR tests taken within 96 hrs prior to departure. For extended stays, a negative PCR test taken within 72 hrs is required to CHECK-OUT of a hotel.
Mauritius will open 01 Oct to fully vaccinated pax with no quarantine. On 01 Sep, quarantine will be reduced to 7 days for vaccinated pax. Pax must have negative PCR tests taken within 72 hrs prior to arrival. Unvaccinated pax to self-quarantine 14 days.
Morocco is open to travelers from the USA with diplomatic consular travel approval. Unvaccinated pax need a negative PCR test taken within 72 hrs prior to arrival.
Seychelles is open to quarantine-free travel for tourism.
South Africa is open. Pax must have negative PCR COVID test results taken within 72 hrs prior to departure. Most int’l airports are open.
Asia
China is allowing foreign nationals to enter mainland China on a case-by-case basis. Travel must be approved by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Hong Kong moved the USA back to the high-risk category. Travelers are required to quarantine in government quarantine hotels for 21 days.
India is open with normal landing approvals. 14-day self-isolation quarantine is waived with pre-arrival & airport PCR testing. Visas are issued according to purpose of travel. Pax must have negative PCR test results taken within 72 hrs prior to departure to India.
Japan bans most non-Japanese nationals & non-residents except for 3 exemptions – consular travel approval, residence visa, or Olympic ID credentials. 14-day quarantine. Crew changes are allowed, with stays up to 72 hrs on a shore pass.
Philippines continues strict travel protocols UFN. Consular approval required.
Singapore requires consular-approved travelers, vaccinated or not, to have negative PCR test results taken within 72 hrs prior to departure. Quarantines of 7, 14, 21 days apply only to unvaccinated pax. Aircraft are to be disinfected. On 8 Sep, vaccinated pax will be able to arrive from Germany and Brunei if they stayed in those countries for 21 days prior to arrival.
South Korea is open for int’l pax flights. All pax must self-quarantine in residence or hotel for 14 days. Shorter stays require pax to quarantine in government facilities. Flight crews are exempt.
Taiwan has banned all int’l pax flights UFN. Both pax & crew must obtain special entry permits from their local Taiwan mission office and must have negative PCR COVID test results taken within 72 hrs prior to departure. 14-day quarantine is required for authorized pax.
Thailand is open for tourism only in the Phuket and Koh Samui regions. Vaccinated pax must remain in either city for a full 14 days before travel to other cities in Thailand. PCR testing/quarantines apply.
Pacific Island Nations
Australia has extended its travel restrictions UFN. Foreign nationals must apply for travel permission from their local consulates and from two agencies in Australia. The travel bubble between Australia and New Zealand has resumed.
French Polynesia is open for tourism flights from USA & Green Zone countries. Protocols differ for vaccinated vs unvaccinated pax. Int’l flights must arrive at Tahiti/NTAA. Crews have same protocols as pax.
Fiji is restricted UFN. Only cargo, medevac, repatriation and tech stops without deplaning are allowed.
New Zealand requires foreign nationals to apply for travel approval from local consulates. PCR tests & quarantines apply. The travel bubble between Australia and New Zealand has resumed.
