After years in the import/export business, one thing became very clear to us. The rise of unverified “store-packaged” African food products abroad is becoming a serious issue and that is exactly why I started making these videos.

Now let me be honest…

Most of the businesses we help ship products for actually do things the RIGHT way because we educate them properly on:
✔ Safe packaging
✔ FDA compliance
✔ Hygienic handling
✔ Traceable sourcing

But we also realized education alone was not enough.

That is why we built AfricanNatural.com

A platform focused on VERIFIED African food manufacturers.

We literally have a team on ground in Nigeria that:
✔ Visits factories physically
✔ Verifies NAFDAC certifications
✔ Checks hygiene standards
✔ Confirms manufacturing processes
✔ Verifies authenticity before products are approved

Because at the end of the day…

People abroad deserve REAL African foods they can TRUST.

Not random repackaged products with unknown sources.

Over the next few videos, I will show you:
• How to read food labels properly
• Red flags most people ignore
• How to identify authentic African products
• FDA compliance signs buyers should know

Most people look at labels…
But they do NOT understand what they are seeing.

I’ll break everything down simply.

One major mistake many Africans abroad are making is this: Buying “store rebranded” food products with NO traceable manufacturer and honestly, that is risky.

Let me explain why.

In countries like the USA and Canada, food manufacturers are required to have:
✔ FDA Food Facility Registration
✔ Traceable manufacturing records
✔ Linked shipping documentation

Why? Because if there is contamination, poisoning or recall…
Authorities can trace EXACTLY where the food came from and remove it immediately.

Now here is the scary part…

Many African stores abroad buy products in bulk, remove the ORIGINAL packaging and then:
❌ Rebag them
❌ Rebrand them
❌ Put their own store sticker

And suddenly:
⚠ No original manufacturer
⚠ No traceable source
⚠ No proper compliance details
⚠ No accountability

So if something goes wrong, Who exactly do you trace?

This is why I keep telling people:

DO NOT blindly trust fancy repackaged products.

Always check:
✔ Original manufacturer details
✔ Proper labels
✔ Traceable packaging
✔ Tamper-proof seals

Your health is too important for guesswork.

The scary part is NOT just food adulteration, It is HOW some of these products are being preserved before they get to stores abroad and many people eating them have NO idea.

Some sellers back home are now using:
❌ Wrong pesticides
❌ Dangerous preservation methods
❌ Chemicals not meant for direct food exposure

Just to stop pests and avoid losses.

Now listen carefully…

The problem is not always the chemical itself.
The REAL problem is HOW it is being used.

There are approved agricultural preservation methods but what many people are doing now is completely unsafe.

Products are sprayed wrongly…
Stored improperly…
Packed inside nylons and sacks…
Then shipped abroad.

And what happens next?

Some stores rebag them into “nice looking” branded pouches and place them on shelves for families to buy.

Meanwhile:
⚠ You don’t know the source
⚠ You don’t know how it was stored
⚠ You don’t know what touched the food

This is why I always say:

ONLY buy from verified manufacturers and trusted sources.

Your health is too important to gamble with.

That is why platforms like African Natural focus on verified manufacturers and traceable sourcing.

Many Africans abroad are eating products they THINK are healthy but may not actually be PURE and this is dangerous especially for people managing diabetes and other health conditions.

Take plantain flour for example.

Many people buy it because of the low glycemic benefits but what if it has been mixed with:
❌ Cassava flour
❌ Cheaper fillers
❌ Low-quality additives

Now the person thinks they are eating “healthy” while unknowingly causing insulin spikes.

This is why you must be EXTREMELY careful where you source African food products abroad.

The reality is:
⚠ Not every seller verifies quality
⚠ Not every product is authentic
⚠ Not every package contains what the label says

And because of strict FDA rules in countries like the USA, many trusted families now prefer smaller direct shipments from people they know back home.

That is one of the safest ways to control quality and authenticity.

Here is my advice:

✔ Buy from trusted verified sources
✔ Avoid suspiciously cheap products
✔ Be careful with already-ground foods
✔ Ask questions about sourcing
✔ Protect your family first

Because once food integrity is compromised, your health pays the price.

Most people think the danger is expired food…

Wrong.

Some of the food products sold abroad may not even be PURE in the first place.

Here is what many buyers do NOT know:

Some sellers back home adulterate products for MORE profit.

How?

❌ Mixing cheaper cassava flour with ground egusi
❌ Regrinding old stock with fresh stock
❌ Redrying products that should have been thrown away
❌ Mixing low-quality products into spices and powders

And when everything is ground? You may NEVER know.

The product still “looks normal” but:
⚠ Taste changes
⚠ Aroma changes
⚠ Quality drops
⚠ Freshness disappears

This is why I keep telling people:

STOP buying already-ground products blindly.

For products like:
• Egusi
• Ogbono
• Crayfish
• Spices

Buy the WHOLE seed whenever possible and grind it yourself.

That is one of the easiest ways to protect yourself and your family.

The scary part?
Many people abroad are eating adulterated food and don’t even realize it.

Follow this page for more information on how to protect yourself from bad and expired food.

Today marks another major milestone in our China expansion journey.

Getting a Tax ID is a mandatory requirement for any Chinese-registered company that wants to conduct business officially.

After months of rigorous documentation, multiple trips to China, and thousands of dollars spent navigating the highly organized Chinese business system, I was finally called in to apply for the Tax ID for our newly registered company.

The process has not been easy.

China is very structured, and they pay serious attention to accurate documentation, compliance, and proper business registration. But this is exactly why we made the commitment to go through the right process.

With this step, we are now getting ready to officially begin operations as a Chinese company.

This opens a major door for us to serve Nigerians, Africans, and African businesses in a way that many people only dream of. From shipping to procurement, sourcing, business support, and access to genuine manufacturers, our goal is to help African companies safely access the world’s biggest manufacturing hub.

In the last few months, I have had to visit China several times to understand the system, build the right relationships, and position our company properly. More great news is coming as we continue to break deeper into the Chinese system and build a trusted bridge between Africa and China.

We are here to open doors.

We are here to create safer access.

We are here to help African businesses do business in China with more confidence.

Wish us luck as we begin this next chapter.

Our vision for a world-class food processing plant is not just about building a factory. It is about building a value chain that starts directly from the farmers.

By sourcing raw and authentic products directly from farmers in the community, we can ensure that what enters our factory is genuine, traceable, and free from the adulteration often introduced by middlemen.

This project is designed to empower farmers, create opportunities, and bring real economic progress to the host community.

To demonstrate our commitment and respect for the community, I paid a courtesy visit last week to HRH Etsu of Kwali, Luka Nizassan, accompanied by Dr. Sarah of the FCTA.

It was a great honor to speak with such a highly educated and forward-thinking traditional leader who clearly wants the best for the people of Kwali, near Abuja.

We are excited about the opportunity to position this plant within his kingdom and look forward to building a strong partnership that will benefit the farmers, the community, and the future of authentic African food processing.

The journey to transform African food export starts from the farm, and we are ready to do this the right way.

What exactly are some African stores REALLY selling to us abroad?

This is the uncomfortable question many people are avoiding.

I went into multiple African stores and saw products:
❌ Without safety seals
❌ Packed in cheap plastics
❌ Poorly sealed pouches
❌ No proper FDA-compliant labels
❌ No nutritional information
❌ No traceability of source

Some packages were already leaking INSIDE the store.

Imagine buying food products in Walmart without seals…
Would you trust it?

Then why are we accepting it from some African stores?

This is the dangerous normalization happening right now.

Many stores now:
⚠ Buy products in bulk from unknown sources
⚠ Rebag into smaller pouches
⚠ Put their own brand names
⚠ Remove original manufacturer details
⚠ Sell products customers cannot trace

And many consumers never ask questions.

Meanwhile:
• Some plastics are NOT food-grade
• Some packages are NOT airtight
• Some foods sit in heat for months
• Some labels don’t meet FDA standards

Yet families are feeding these products to children every day.

This is NOT about attacking African businesses.

This is about demanding HIGHER standards.

Because African foods deserve:
✔ Proper packaging
✔ Clean processing
✔ Transparency
✔ Compliance
✔ Trust

Stop buying products simply because: “It is from Africa.”

Start asking:
WHO packaged it?
WHERE was it processed?
IS it properly sealed?
DOES it meet standards?

Many people abroad think African foods in stores are coming from clean certified factories…

You may be shocked by the REAL process behind some of these products.

Here is how it often works:

Some African stores in the USA, UK and Canada simply send shopping lists to random sellers back home they found on:
❌ Instagram
❌ TikTok
❌ WhatsApp

Those sellers then:
• Buy products from open markets
• Source from unknown villages
• Rebag into sacks and nylons
• Ship them abroad for resale

No proper checks.
No traceability.
No hygiene standards.

During my research, I visited one location where products meant for export were literally spread on mats in filthy environments before packaging.

This is the uncomfortable truth many people don’t want to hear.

And once these products arrive abroad?

Some stores:
⚠ Repackage them into smaller pouches
⚠ Add fancy labels
⚠ Remove original manufacturer details
⚠ Sell them as “premium African foods”

Meanwhile, customers have NO IDEA where the food really came from.

This is why I keep saying:
✔ Check labels
✔ Avoid suspicious repackaged foods
✔ Ask questions
✔ Buy from verified sources
✔ Stop buying only because it is cheap

Because your health is worth more than saving a few dollars.

Can you honestly say the African food you bought abroad is 100% pure?

Think about it carefully because what you are seeing on social media is frightening…

Palm oil mixed with dyes.
Fake colors added to increase volume.
Foods altered just to maximize profit.

And many of these products eventually find their way into stores abroad.

Now some people will say:
“Oh… that only happens in Africa.”

Really?

Then how do you explain people abroad opening “pure palm oil” only to discover strange colors, bad smell or completely altered texture after a few weeks?

This is the reality many people don’t want to talk about.

The problem is not just the food…
The problem is:
❌ Poor sourcing
❌ Repackaging
❌ No traceability
❌ No quality control
❌ Profit over safety

And sadly, many buyers never ask questions.

They just assume:
“If it’s in a store abroad, it must be safe.”

NO.

That assumption can be dangerous.

This is why I keep saying:
✔ Check labels
✔ Check manufacturer details
✔ Avoid suspicious repackaged products
✔ Buy from trusted verified sources
✔ Stop choosing only by price

Because some of these products may LOOK fresh…
But what is really inside?

For the next few videos, I will expose:
• How fake foods enter the market
• How to detect suspicious products
• Red flags to watch for in African stores
• How to protect your family
