June is Cataract Awareness Month, and clear vision starts with knowing the signs.

Many people think of a cataract as a film or skin over the eye, but it's actually something that happens from within. As we age, cells in the eye's lens naturally begin to clump together over time, gradually clouding vision in ways that can be easy to miss at first.

Here's what to watch for:
👁️ Blurry or dimming vision
👁️ Difficulty seeing at night or while driving
👁️ Sensitivity to light or glare
👁️ Colors that appear faded or dull
👁️ Frequent changes in your glasses prescription

Cataracts affect about 70% of people by age 75, and while aging is the primary cause, factors like diabetes, smoking, and UV exposure can speed up their development.
