You've heard us talk about this gap in care many times. When a woman leaves a trafficking situation, the ideal first step for her is a place to stabilize before making any long-term decisions. This gap has existed, not just in Houston but across our entire region, for far too long. So we're filling it.⁠

Throughout the World Cup, we will be operating an Emergency Safe Home for survivors of trafficking. It's a heavy lift, but it's critical. You can help! We have an Amazon wishlist with items we need to run this Safe Home and serve women well.⁠

These points of contact we make on Intervention have always needed somewhere to lead. We've been doing our best to serve women in crisis by temporarily housing them in hotels, but that's not ideal. They need a safe, stable home to rest and stabilize. ⁠
