Did you see (or hear) this beauty in the skies today? If so, you witnessed a MiG-17 conducting test flights before departing ELM for it's new home in Alabama.

Here are some fun facts about this remarkable aircraft:

✅Believed to be the world's last airworthy MiG-17 fighter jet
✅The first Soviet fighter capable of night operations
✅It was packed away in pieces after the fall of the Berlin Wall
✅The current owner has been restoring it at ELM for over 20 years
✅It completed its first US maiden flight in the summer of 2008
