We had another beautiful day in Acadia.

We started with a hike from Jordan Pond up to the South Bubble. It was really amazing to get up to the summit and see this massive boulder (Bubble Rock) hanging out on the edge of a cliff. We were so thankful for Ash Nudd | National Park Itineraries and Hiking itinerary because we knew when to arrive at Jordan Pond to actually get a parking spot, and it gave us some options for our hike that were really insightful about why certain options were their preferred way to the summit.

We also tried the popovers, took a carriage ride along the carriage roads, visited Thunder Hole, and spent the later part of the evening in Bar Harbor.

Thunder Hole is so interesting because when air is forced out of the small, naturally carved cavern by the water, it creates a boom!

We modified our plans from our itinerary to pack a little more into today because tomorrow is supposed to be a dreary day.

From the northwest coast of the US in Alaska at Glacier Bay two weeks ago to the northeast coast of the US in Maine at Acadia today!

Ever since I became interested in the national parks and decided that I want to try to visit all of them, I’ve loved Ash Nudd | National Park Itineraries and Hiking . I listen to their podcast, read the articles on their website, and I bought their Acadia itinerary for this trip.

Today was our first of three days here and the itinerary has been so helpful. Ash Nudd | National Park Itineraries and Hiking has been to Acadia multiple times and knows what to do and when. We had our reservation for Cadillac Mountain, hiked the Acadia Mountain Trial, explored some tide pools, and climbed the rocky ledges to get a nice view of the sun setting behind Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse. We had such a gorgeous day with incredible views and experiences.

I can’t believe we are already in May! This year is flying by.

But now that it is May, I can finally say that we get to go on our Alaskan cruise THIS month!! We’ve been planning this vacation with for over a year to celebrate our 40th birthdays.

One of the big reasons why we chose Princess is because it is one of the few cruise lines that can go to and that was a must for me.

One of my bucket list items is to go to all of the national parks. I am so glad I found because their podcast and website have been so insightful. Ash used to be a park ranger at Glacier Bay!

I am so excited for this trip and I can’t believe it’s finally almost here!
