Last Thursday Ahi held the time honored Permanent Cuttermen Ceremony for BM2 Elliott Gray. BM2 Gray has successfully completed five years of Sea Duty and met all prerequisites to be a permanent Cuttermen! We were joined by some local Cuttermen from Sector and Base Honolulu as we pinned BM2 Gray off Diamond Head, Oahu. Congratulations BM2! And a special thanks to the Cuttermen who sailed with us, and around the world!

HONOLULU — The Coast Guard and Hawaii County Fire Department are searching for a missing 40-year-old man off the coast of the Big Island near Honokaa, Thursday.

Outstanding teamwork and damage control acumen demonstrated by the AHI crew for the first annual DC Olympics today! Our 5 man crew fought against 7 other teams from three larger cutters and placed second place, only narrowly being beat by 2 points. Congratulations to the CGC Walnut crew on the victory! Thanks AHI crew for your dedication and tenacity! You made all AHI crewmembers past and present proud today!
