🎡 Big news for one of Walt Disney World's most beloved classics — Carousel of Progress is getting its biggest update in over 30 years!

Walt Disney Imagineers have announced a massive reimagining of this Magic Kingdom icon, and the updates sound absolutely magical:

✨ Walt Disney himself will appear in the attraction as an Audio-Animatronic figure, welcoming guests in a scene inspired by the 1964 World's Fair special where he first introduced the show.

🕰️ All four acts are getting new time periods — the 1960s (moon landing!), the 1980s (Halloween night with Sarah finally taking center stage 🎃), New Year's Eve 1999, and an imaginative off-planet future.

🎨 A brand-new attraction poster pays homage to the original Magic Kingdom debut design.

The Carousel of Progress will go offline beginning July 6, 2026, with a reopening expected in 2027.
