Good morning, Spring Cove! 🐉🚌

The buses are lined up, the lights are on, and we’re ready to roll!

We want to wish all of our Spring Cove Dragons — students, teachers, staff, and families — the very best as we kick off the 2026–2027 school year!

Drivers, keep an eye out for those flashing red lights and give our buses a little extra room as everyone settles back into the school-year routine.

🚌 The work starts long before the first day of school.

While students are enjoying the last few weeks of summer, our newest school bus drivers are busy preparing for the year ahead.
From classroom instruction and vehicle inspections to driving practice and testing, there’s a lot of training that happens before a driver ever picks up their first student.

Even today’s rain couldn’t stop the practice — we just brought the classroom into the garage! 🌧️😂

We’re proud of the work these future drivers are putting in and look forward to having them on the road this school year!

🚌 School Starts Soon. That Means It's Time for All of Us to Slow Down!!

As students head back to school, thousands of children will be waiting at bus stops, crossing roadways, and boarding school buses every morning and afternoon. Their safety doesn't just depend on school bus drivers—it depends on every driver on the road.

When you see a school bus:
Slow down.
Put the phone away.
Leave yourself extra time.
Be prepared to stop when the red lights flash.

Those few extra seconds could save a child's life.
Every stop a school bus makes is carefully planned with one goal in mind: getting students to and from school safely. Bus drivers are trained to watch every mirror, every lane, and every child—but they can't control the actions of other motorists.
As the new school year begins, let's all do our part. A little more patience. A little more awareness. A little more caution.
Because every child deserves to make it home safely.

A Small Thank You to a Big Team

Today we had the opportunity to spend some time with our bus drivers and van drivers outside of the daily rush of routes, schedules, radios, and traffic.
Whether it was breakfast with our bus drivers or a picnic with our van drivers and their families, it was a great reminder of what makes Maxwell Transit special: the people.
Every day, our drivers safely transport hundreds of students. They navigate weather, traffic, construction, schedule changes, and everything else that can happen on the road—all while providing a safe and caring environment for the students they serve.
What many people don't see are the early mornings, split shifts, late afternoons, and the dedication it takes to be there day after day for our schools and families.
To our drivers, mechanics, office staff, and everyone who helps keep the wheels turning: thank you.
And to the families who support them behind the scenes, thank you for sharing them with us.
We are proud of the team we've built and grateful for the trust that schools, parents, and students place in us every day.
