I’ve been working with United Metal Spinning of Kansas City for over 30 years. They’ve been built Cowlings for us and I thought I’d share a few things with you.

Larry Brennaman is the fourth generation metal spinner. His great grandfather Auto started the company in his basement in 1925. Then In 1927 he
Purchased a larger spinning lathe that’s the one we used today to spin the cowlings.

The same lathe was used during World War II to spin ball turrets for bombers.
