Alex and Claire were actually married before but they said they were too young. They had 2 daughters and eventually got a divorce. Fast forward years later, their oldest was diagnosed with MS, and during her recovery it brought them closer together again. Somehow I was lucky enough for them to decide on a yacht wedding and book with me because damn their love mixed with their own personalities made a huge impact on myself and all the vendors I brought on board with me that day. How surreal it must’ve been for their daughters to give speeches at their own parents wedding!!

Lots of unique logistics went into this charter! We relocated this 100 ft yacht 2.5 hours south of its Jersey City home dock for the client, which involved having to find a marina in that area that could actually accommodate that size of a yacht 😅. I also arranged jetskis with the super cool owners of to come meet the yacht during the charter for the client to have some fun in the water. Fishing equipment was arranged and wouldn’t have been possible without the coordination of he was a lifesaver if only the client knew 😂. All of this was planned in less than a week’s time.

The reason a sunset seen from the water is so appealing is because the reflection gives us this 360 degree view of the colors and it’s pretty extraordinary. Sunsets on the water in July and August are particularly memorable. As you consider venues for your wedding or next event and sunsets are important to you, a yacht could be a great option. You’ll never forget seeing something like this and neither will your guests.

Sometimes in life, the opportunities we didn't even knew we needed tend to arise in some very mysterious (or surprising) ways. They often come disguised in the form of a major failure, disappointment, or situation completely out of our control that gives us the impression we're victims of life's unknowable consequences. ​ But here's ​an alternate perspective ... without the dark, how would we ever see the stars?

My husband Dan is the ultimate cliché: he literally grew up boating. As a toddler, age 3, he was shrouded in the lifestyle. By age 22, he bought his own. So, it might not come as a surprise that today, he’s a registered Master Captain and recently purchased his fourth boat.

As for me? I’ve loved the ocean for as long as I can remember; those of you who grew up on the East Coast can probably relate. But once Dan and I started dating, I realized that the nostalgic love for the beach atmosphere was actually a passion for boating and the open ocean.
