We will be working with local employers to coordinate various low-cost initiatives for providing better commuting options, i.e., vans, carpooling, bus, etc. These initiatives will help protect our environment, reduce cost of travel, and enable employers to employ and retain employees. Hopefully, this program will help pave the way for public transportation by CCTA. To date, funding for Hinesburg Rides has come from the Town of Hinesburg, charitable contributions, a “United We Ride” grant, a CCMPO Transportation Action grant, and a SCHIP grant. We will continue to apply for grants when available. Please consider what you can do to help support Hinesburg Rides. All donations are tax deductible and checks should be made out to the Hinesburg Community Resource Center, with Hinesburg Rides noted in the memo section.
