Today marks 18 years that we have been in service. We want to thank the community for supporting us through the years and we hope to keep hopping for many more to come.

We are looking for shuttle drivers.
We currently 2 positions available. The first position is from Hickory to Boone and would be Tuesday through Saturday leaving Hickory as early as 3pm and the last drop off in Boone could be 10pm. There will normally be 1-2 trips but no more than 3 trips per day. The second position would be a 4 on and 4 off situation. It would be from Hickory to Boone starting as early as 5am in Boone or Blowing Rock and the last pickup in Boone would be at 1:30pm.You will be responsible for loading and unloading luggage and transporting passengers safely to and from the Hickory to various locations in Boone. You must be at least 25 years old, have a clean driving record, great customer service skills, and must be dependable.
This position pays $35 per round trip plus tips.

We wanted to hop onto your feed with a brief update. Construction continues to progress well at our new location and we're still hoping to move-in early March.

We just wanted to give an update on our move. Due to delays in permitting and inspections, we will remain at the Hickory Regional Airport until the end of February or the first part of March. When we have a definite date, we will let everyone know.

The Hickory Hop is Moving On!

That’s right! The Hickory Hop will be changing locations in January of 2026! Our new location will be within the Hickory Plaza Shopping Center, 557 US HWY 70 SW in Hickory. We’re very excited to have a brand-new waiting room with new seating and charging stations, reserved, marked, parking with security cameras, in a location that has easier access from Hickory and 321!

As always, our top priorities for our new location are ….
Customer Safety and Comfort
Comfortable Indoor Waiting Room Facilities and Office Space
Location that Allows Ease of Access for our Customers
Safe and Plentiful Parking

The Hickory Airport has allowed us to continue operations at our current location through the holiday season. Stay tuned for details as to our moving logistics.

We’ve outgrown our Rabbit Burrow here at the Hickory Airport. The Airport and the City of Hickory have terminated our lease effective January 1, 2026. We’re now in the process of looking for a new location. We have a few sites under consideration, but all and any ideas or recommendations from our customers are welcome!

Our top priorities for a new location are….
- Customer Safety and Comfort
- Indoor Waiting Room Facilities and Office Space
- Location that Allows Ease of Access for our Customers
- Safe and Plentiful Parking
