Trail of the Month: North Carolina’s Ecusta Trail!

The state’s newest rail-trail currently extends 6 miles from downtown Hendersonville to Horse Shoe, with plans plans to grow. This scenic pathway weaves through urban, suburban and rural landscapes, linking residents and visitors to local businesses, beautiful landscapes and gathering places along the way. Since opening in July 2025–thanks to the efforts of Friends of Ecusta Trail, who worked with other supporting organizations (including RTC!), and community members—the trail has already emerged as a vibrant hub and economic driver for the region.

Want to try an e-bike?🚲

We’re excited to participate in the 2nd Annual Blue Ridge Artisan Market's From the Earth Festival celebrating our planet and promoting sustainability. Our shop will be open regular hours for rentals, and we’ll also have a tent along the trail offering a free 15-minute “Take an E-Bike for a Spin.” All you need to do is sign a waiver and leave your ID with us while you ride!
