Are you looking for a job that gives you ownership and makes you the captain of your ship? Would you like to net between $150000 to $195000? We have steady work with a mixture of feeder cattle and fat cattle, long and short hauling. Our rates are competitive with others in the industry. We operate late model Wilson spread axle trailers.

Leasing a Golden Plains Trailer comes with many benefits
• Each load has a fuel surcharge that is paid 100% to the owner operator no lease is taken out of that fee. Depending on how hard you work in a years’ time a person can earn up to $74,000 in fuel surcharge money. As fuel prices continue to rise so does this amount! Again it’s a surcharge going straight to the owner operator It is not treated as a rate increase.
• All trailer expenses are the responsibility of Golden Plains. Including all repairs, washouts and washout fees, trailer liability and cargo insurance.
• We provide a Fleet One Edge Card, which has great fuel discounts because of the volume of fuel we purchase at their network of locations.
• We provide a Visa Credit card so you can also utilize apps such as Mudflap to purchase fuel or purchase wherever you prefer.
• We file and pay your IFTA return.
• Owner Operators are paid weekly regardless if Golden Plains receives payment or not.
• It is the responsibility of Golden Plains to follow state and Federal Regulations such as drug and alcohol testing. The testing fees are the responsibility of Golden Plains.
• We take care of all permitting, tags and registration. The tag expense for your power unit will be charged back to the owner operator with affordable weekly payments.
• Our insurance rates for your truck and occupational accident are affordable as the Golden Plains Owner Operators work hard to keep CSA scores low to allow us to have affordable insurance rates. This is also charged back to the owner operator with affordable weekly payments.

Golden Plains Trucking Inc. has been a cattle hauling industry leader since it opened its doors in 1982. We pride ourselves on the fact that some of our owner operators and drivers have been here since the company started in 1982. We contribute our success to our skilled owner operators and great customer base.

Based out of Hays, KS we are currently hiring qualified owner operators and some of our Fleet owners need qualified drivers. We currently have an opening for a livestock hauler and a grain hauler. We are looking for individuals that want to be team players, provide great customer service, and have the ability to care for and handle livestock.

If you hold a valid Class A CDL, have a good MVR, and have 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience you are welcome to join our team. Livestock handling experience is preferred but not required.
